LINGERIE FOOTBALL League (LFL) Conference Championships 2011 –

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Passion and the LA Temptation for their hard fought battles on the GRID- IRON last night in Jacksonville, FL.

Western Conference Championship Game

Chicago Bliss started out strong using all of their weapons to include Tasha “The Tank” Pryor and Heather Furr…. Unfortunately, Heather Furr was injured during her QB sneak touchdown and was out of the game having only played 2 minutes.

LA Temptation stormed back down the field with a brilliant run game by Zipporah Chase and a bootleg TD by QB SuperStar Ashley Salerno.

Having lost their star QB, the Bliss showed their dedication and motivation to win with a running game by Tasha Pryor and a QB sneak by Deborah Poles. 14-6 Halftime.

The LA Temptation looked beat going into the locker room; however came out with fire in their souls and an awesome Kick-Off return for a Touchdown by Melissa Margulies. The one point conversion closed the Temptation gap to one; 14-13. The Bliss never recovered and the Temptation scored 25 unanswered points with Ashley Salerno leading the way with a final score of 31-14.

This was a very physical game… I want to send my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery to Lutasha Bradley with a broken arm and Heather Furr with a seriously sprained knee. Get Well Soon Ladies!!!

Eastern Conference Championship Game

Tampa started off with the first TD after an offensive fumble recovery. Fortunately J Philadelphia answered with a run by SuperStar Marirose Roach. After the one-point conversion, Philly went up 7-6.

Philadelphia’s awesome defense shut Tampa down on the goal line and then capitalized with a Touchdown on their next possession. 14-6

Following a negated TD by Marirose Roach, holding call, and a strong Tampa defense, Tampa’s Offense Breezed down the field after halftime and converted the 2-point conversion to tie the game 14-14.

With 1:50 left in the game, Marirose Roach scored her 3rd touchdown. The 1-point conversion attempt failed and there was still 1:50 left on the clock.

Tampa battled their way down to the Passion goal line, but came up short after suffering from poor clock management that resulted in a costly penalty and a QB sack that ended the game.

CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN TO THE PASSION!!!!! LOVE YOU ALL

xoxo

Manheim Gathers to Mourn

My heart and prayers go out to the families of four teenagers who were killed in a car crash last week in Lebanon County PA. Four young men who left us way too early:

John Griffith, 16
Cody Hollinger, 16
Nicolas Bryson, 15
DeVaughn Lee, 15

All were rising stars on their High School football team... Everyone please take a moment today to tell your love ones how much you love them and remember to support them in their life goals.
